Flaming Fuck Me Up
06/03/09
EgofreakyThis is an old favourite of mine that I invented from dregs of a few bottles in a desparate last ditch attempt to get drunk at a party when there was maybe half a shot left in three different bottles of “green stuff”…
Glass: Shot (ice)
Method: Layered
- 10ml Agwa
- 10ml Midori
- 10ml Absinthe
Garnish: Fire
Now, this is a drink that you’re meant to shoot while it’s still on fire. If you’re a bit of a pussy and don’t want to burn your precious cancer moustache, you can use a straw, but you’ll need to do it quickly otherwise the straw tends to melt as a certain Kossman discovered by sucking up some hot, molten plastic whilst in state of such drunken stupidity, he attempted to suck up the drink from the top down.
To be honest, I didn’t actually come up with the garnish or the idea of using a  shotglass made from at the time. That particular stroke of genius hit me later when I realised that a) absinthe is extremely alcoholic, and that this drink is nearly two standards worth in that single glass and b) Absinthe does this funky colour change bit when it’s cold… and I suppose c) fire and ice is an extremely awesome effect.
Unfortunately, for the photoshoot, I didn’t actually use an ice glass. I figured it’d melt, spreading amazingly flammable absinthe and Agwa all over my varnished wooden table and extra flammable shag pile carpet. I did use a nice scottish crystal glass instead though.

Thank you. I do try my best to keep people in a regular and thorough state of inebriation.
