So I was feeling in a bit of a celbratory mood this week, as I’m now working three days a week from an office that I can walk to, has a nice view, and is actually just a generally pleasant and pleasing work environment.

And what better way the celebrate than Tequila!?

At first, I was just having myself a regular old Tequila Sunrise… And then I started thinking that yeah, they’re nice and all, but they’re so old hat. Most places don’t actually use real grenadine anyway, which ruins the flavour because it’s meant to be pomegranite syrup, NOT rasberry cordial. Different fruits and a different liquid entirely.

You see the incompetence I have to deal with? I’ve got white people problems.

So I present to you the Tequila Strawbrise (because I really couldn’t think of anything else, and the stray suggestion of Tequilesbian made me think I appreciate having teeth in my mouth when I go out to Commercial Road).

Glass: Highball

Ingredients:

• 30ml Agave or Repardiso Tequila
• 30ml Strawberry Liqueur
• 120-150ml Orange Juice

Method: Build over the tequila nad orange juice over ice, then pour the Strawberry liqueur down the side of the glass and let it settle towards the bottom.

Garnish: You can be classy about this and just use half a straberry on the glasses rim

Or you can be gauche and rub the rim of the glass with lime juice prior to making the drink and then dust the rim with pink sugar or sprinkles.

P.S. I apologise about the lack of photos this week. I’ve been really busy with Manifest crap and haven’t had the time to take a decent shot. Believe it or not, they take a while to set up right.
