Lampy’s Lime Liplicker
Another friend, another drink. It’s a vicious cycle.
This one is at the request of a friend who has recently discovered the pinnacle of her career is working at StarBucks in the land of the free, whilst being unaware of why precisely it is that a “long black” has to be called an “Americcano” when one serves coffee in the USA.
Story time over, alcohol time now!
Glass: Tumbler
Ingredients:
- 5ml fresh lime juice
- 30ml Tequila
- 30ml Orange brandy (i.e. Grand Marnier)
- Sodawater
Method: Build over ice. Lime Juice first, then tequila to let it soak up some lime, and liberally toss the brandy in there. It’s not going to bruise. Finally, generously splash the soda water in and maybe give it a gentle stir afterwards.
Garnish: Dust the rim in tequila salt, or sugar if you want it sweeter.
I also recommend a lime peel from your freshly squeezed lime just gets tossed in there. Lampy, however, wants strawberries… So cut half a strawberry and cram it on the side of the glass.
Strawberries AND lime? Seriously now, this isn’t a margarita…
Photos for everything coming soon… I just couldn’t be arsed actually setting them up lately. They’re a lot harder to pull off than you’d think, as you have to get the shots done before the ice melts, the glass sweats too much, etc, etc, etc.
