Gothka!
13/11/09
EgofreakyIt’s all gothic, +vodka. Self explanatory really.
This drink was really based entirely on me noticing Absolut‘s current promotion: Absolut Rock Edition, which really needs to be renamed Absolut Bondage Edition. It got Twist and myself talking about how you could probably make an Etsy business out of bondage and goth fashion inspired bottle covering.
So, I hear you ask, how does one make a gothic drink + vodka?
To which I reply that you clearly haven’t been reading my fucking blog on pretty much very Friday for the past year, why the hell not, and that you should die in a fire. Then I slap the back of my hand to my forehead and wail about the injustice of it all and the pettiness of the human condition. The only thing that now prevents me from being an Emo is that I don’t have a fringe or dye strips of my hair into unnatural, anime-esque colours…
Glass: Tumbler
Ingredients:
- 15ml Blue Curacao
- 30ml American Honey
- 30ml Vodka
- 30ml Abinsthe
Method: Shake & strain.
Garnish: Well, the glass should be garnish enough if you’ve got a nice chiseled crystal glass, or one of the novelty gothic-chic type drinking vessels available at any cheap crap shop (see pictured). But if that’s not enough for you, some suitably dark looking berries still on their vines, or white flowers, such as jasmine floating around the top.
If you want to be suitably dramatic, I suppose you could add dry ice to it or something… but the difficulty comes in actually sourcing a ready supply of it. Telling you to contact the people at SupaGas would probably be highly irresponsible of me.
