Will you look at that? We’ve come to the end of the month already!

If anyone cares much about the inspiration for this drink, it’s actually a really goth story. It’s all about a Japanese chick who gets her stabbiness on against ninjas during a something something warlord something looks like old school Japanese Marilyn Manson something something fighting against something Tokugawa Shogunate.

The point is that it’s totally historically something something…. hey! BOOZE!

Glass: Martini

Ingredients:

• 30ml dark rum
• 30ml lime juice
• 150ml ginger beer
• dash of bitters
• Fresh Mint

Method: Shakes and strain the rum, lime juice and mint into the glass. Some people that like a more even mix of bitters will have added the bitters around the edge of the martini glass’ bowl. If you’re the sort that prefers a flavour that’s a bit more varied, then add the ginger beer and then add the bitters on top.

Garnish: It’s already got mint! MINT! What more could yo– fine! A sliver or two of shaved ginger will add a kick to the drink, as well as looking either like flower petals, or bits of human flesh, depending on the dye used by the particular brand you’ve got. Either way, they’re pretty ninja!
