Cabaret Nocturne is a surprisingly long lived club, considering it seems to move venue and regular dates. Previously it’s been at the Mercat Cross hotel, but with that place no longer being able to run things due to local residents complaining about the noise (here’s a hint – don’t move into an area with a lively market and live music / disco scene)
Clearly the drugs being served are as good as always, or the club would have fizzled out with the venue move as so many tend to… poor Abyss T_T
Next edition of CabNoc is being held at Platform 1, in Banana Alley.
This month’s CabNoc also has member cards available. This is kind of a big thing as they only do them once a year, and it basically means you get in for only $10 in the future.
Banana Alley is certainly an interesting location for a goth club. Being an old warehouse vault in what used to be a dock area (about a century ago), the architecture certainly lends itself to goth clubbing in a way that’s been hard to capture since the Royal Melbourne Hotel redid the internal decour to be a sports bar instead of an ex-prison. Gulag had something going for it, but it’s over now…
Drink specials:
- $5 wet pussy shots till midnight
- $5 sparkling wine
- $5 import beers (I’m not sure if we should really count Boags & Cascade as “imported”)
- $6 Tequila
- $6 Cocksucking Cowboys
- $9 Slushies
- $10 skittle bombs
If you’re one of those social media whores, don’t forget to you Facebook’s “checkin” feature… not only is it a fantastic way to be seen to be a part of the scene and for exs to stalk you, there are also giveaways for people seen doing it.
Entry Fee is $15 or $13 with flier.
