The Last Black Widows [VIC]

It’s the end of an era – Black Widows is finally shutting down. It’s a little saddening (but what on the goth scene isn’t, right?) as it was a good haunt for the people that were more than happy to take the scene with a grain of salt, a little pseudoephedrine, and a lot of good humour.
As those of you that are regular readers are probably aware, this domain naime (www.gothclub.com.au) was originally purchased for Black Widows with the intent of gaming search engine results, anytime someone in Australia looked up the term “goth club” in a search engine. Unfortunately, an actual website didn’t end up getting created for a good two years after the initial purchase, I got sick of a good investment going to waste, and decided to use it for… ranting I guess.
Either way, it’s a shame to see the last vestige of Black Widows go.
For those that wish to attend, it’s being held at The Portland Hotel, 115 Russel.st, Melbourne.
DJ line up includes Nero, Rick Ruin, Nebula, and “guests”, playing mostly industrial, EBM and the dancier end of metal.
Entry is $10 with the flier (it’s right there! Just click it and print it!), and there are prizes and drink specials throughout the night.
