Robert Smith considers purchasing a cap for his hair... instead, decides to become 30' tall mechanical moth
Golgotha is perhaps Melbourne’s longest surviving irregular gothclub. Due to its infrequent nature, it also happens to be one of the ones that people make something of an effort to go to, and many of the older people on the Melbourne gawth scene that one would assume have simply disappeared often surface there. It’s like a flotsam grounding point for black PVC, cocktail specials and Robert Smith’s hair.
Golgotha is usually on the public holiday eve of a public holiday weekend, provided avenue can be found that’s willing to stay open that late (and that’s to assinine liquor licensing, that’s becoming harder to find in Melbourne of all places).
The current venue is the Wah Wah Lounge, lvl1 185 Lonsdale.st, Melbourne.
Featuring two rooms, one playing all the dancetastic industrial, kinda-dubstep, electro you can handle, whilst the other plays the old classics that we’ve been hearing since going to clubs underage in the 90s (or was that just me?) that inspire The Angsty Seaweed motions in all of us.
Entry price, flier and DJ line up to be announced shortly.
