Come join in a magickal evening sharing a world within world and journeying to the other side of the veil! With the upcoming season of the darkening winter (including the festival of Samhain in a number of cultures & paths), we experience a deeper connection with the spir…it world. Where we can celebrate and connect with those who have passed beyond the veil, seek guidance with divination and reading into our past, present and future.
This evening is open for Crimson Marquee women, as well as family & friends. Thus men are most welcome along to this event!
This months focus in Crimson Marquee is the senses, and with this evening we explore what is known as the sixth sense. This is the perfect time of the year to also connect with the dead, your higher self, the spirit realm, and everything else of the beyond. The soiree is designed to create a safe and easy going atmosphere to share circles & séances, share in meditations and dream interpretation, develop psychic perception, do readings for one another & get insight from divination.
We will also have time to discuss any issues or concerns before proceedings begin for the evening. Please note that you are under no obligation to take part in all the evenings activities, with much emphasis on respecting boundaries & consent.
Patron Archetypal Goddess for the Soiree – Hekate – (Goddess of the crossroads & gateways of the Underworld)
Cost: $12 to cover costs. Chai, hot & cold refreshments and light supper provided. You may wish to bring a plate to share as well
Under 18′s are welcome, though please keep in mind this is not an event appropriate for children.

You know how there are all those Medieval Fairs in the US that look really freaking cool and you wonder why we can’t ever have nice things like that here in Australia (Other than the fact that it would be amazingly anachronistic because that culture never existed here outside of the minds of LARPers)?
Apparently we do… it’s just that they’re a massive pain in the arse to get to. Like, three confusing hours out of Sydney by car, or slightly less by train, but you have to deal with the weird looks you get on the train for being fully gothed up or in plate armour.
You see, the small town of Lithgow is home to IronFest, Australia’s premier medieval reenactment event + a whole bunch of other fantasy stuff because steampunks existed precisely never in History, no matter how cool it is.
For those of you wishing to get there, it’s held at the Lithgow Showgrounds, aka Tony Luchetti Sprtsground.
The event has been running long enough that it’s even received some decent news coverage. Even Al-Jazeera has gotten on board… Probably cursing the Infidel Crusaders, but you know, all publicity is good publicity.
So if you’re after a day of merriment, jousting, juggling, birds of prey, unhygenically prepared meats on big sticks, armour made from modern technologies and general good fun, it’s worth checking out.
Prices vary from $28 per person prepaid, to $130 for a whole family at the gate. If you’re going to definitely go for sure, the prepayment option will save you enough money for some mead.
